yes, i have taken to writing poetry after 30-35 years...here is the previous one i wrote on netlog...it is in hindi and translated into english by me....it is called 'kismet' meaning fate:-


kismet
na thi hamari kismet,
ki hamsafar sath hota
zindigi ki kathin rahao mai
hamare sath jo chalta
na thi hamari........

vade kiye jo humse
bhula diye sab tumne
agni ko sakshi manke
bhi kiye the vade tumne
na thi hamari .....

hamari duniya se dur
chale to gaye ho
es zindagi ki raha pae
akale chalne ko chor gaye ho
na thi hamari......

har mushkil ka samana
hum akele hi karange
na ho tum to kya
tumari yaad ke sung karange
na thi hamari.......

es jivan ka sath jo chuta
agle jivan mai na hone denge
savitri bane ke hum to
yamraj se bhi bidhlange
na thi hamari.......

it was not in my kismet (fate)
that my life partner would be with me
on the difficult terrains of life
he would walk besides me
it was not in my kismet....

the promises made to me
you have forgotten
those made before the marriage fire
you have also forgotten
it was not in my kismet.....

away from my world
you have gone
on the path of life
you have left me alone
it was not in my kismet......

i will face every difficulty
if necessary alone
so what if you are not beside me
memories alongside me will not make me alone
it was not in my kismet.......

though in this life our companionship has broken
in the next life i will not let it happen
if need be i will like savitri
fight with yamraj (god of death) to get you even
it was not in my kismet..........

i have found that if you are into reiki and really want to do something, you can do it pretty well....

now i think will write about 50 poems and then get a book on poetry published....it will be much easier than writing a novel
