Sherlock Holmes is pacing up and down his study at 221B Baker Street.
"You seem restless, Holmes" says Watson, looking up from his newspaper, "what ails you?"
"Boredom." Holmes replies," Sheer boredom"
"Well, why not help me with this crossword." the good doctor suggests, "It might help pass the time.
There are a few clues I'm stuck on, I dare say you'll find them all too easy, though; or as you would probably say 'E...."

Watson starts to read the clues:

“The 12th and 13th letters of the alphabet written in a diary?
“Its ‘L, M, entry’, my dear Watson.”
"In French, ‘the fib’, untruth, story, etc ?"
"Ah! ‘la Menterie’, my dear Watson"
"Arborial Citrus, bearing pale-yellow fruit?"
"Its ‘A Lemon Tree’, my dear Watson.”
"An audible expression of grief concerning sleuth's trusted medical confidant?"
