    Hello

Post by Reikijim on Tue Apr 20, 2010 7:33 am

    Hi Folks,

I must apologize for my absence. I got dragged into a very intensive behind schedule, muti million dollar project for the last, almost 4 months. And no, it wasn`t worth the money Shocked

For me, i find it hard to be spiritual and "Reiki" when surrounded by hard hat wearing, cigar smoking project managers 24 7. My short coming I suppose. Never the less, it`s over, thank goodness...

I look forward to talking with you folks once again...Thanks to everyone for extending their good intentions and patience toward this situation....especially Wayne and Bridget...very cool

    Hi Jim

Glad to see you back as well!

I too am just back after a certain Icelandic volcano caused a forced leave of absence in Portugal (without proper internet) for longer than I anticipated!

Nope! Luckily, the villa we were staying in the first week was empty the second week so we stayed there (at the same rate as the first week, but it was much cheaper than 3 hotel rooms would have been, as there were 8 of us!).

We heard all the advice about "heading to the ports" but, thankfully, we decided to sit it out in comfort rather than undertake a 3-day journey (up to Calais), using several modes of transport, with 8 lots of luggage and a young child in tow, only to have to sleep rough and pay inflated ticket and/or hire prices!

Now we just have to see what costs we can recover from the airline/travel insurance, if any!

jeepers sounds like you folks made a smart move! it was saying on british telly that no matter what the airlines try to say, EU directives protect for this kind of thing, and must pay. I read yesterday ryanair said they will pay.

You offer some great personal Reiki experiences.
Not forgetting your great pictures & love for wildlife
I'm not talking about your personal wildlife but those
critters like the black bears that must be coming out
of hibernation from those zero temperatures

    Thanks, Bridget! Very Happy

Went to see a Cappella do Ossos (Chapel of Bones) made from hundred of skulls and bones dugup from the local cemetary!

We stayed near the coast in the Algarve so didn't visit Fatima etc.

Good to be back in the UK though!
