fundraiser for voluntary work

Hi guys,

dunno if this is the right section to be posting this lol Anyway I would like to go somewhere and volunteer, make a difference in some people's lives... and get physical!
Have any of you some good ideas for fundraiser events?...

If you want to volunteer Reiki
check out your local assisted

I was thinking more a long the lines of "habitat" helping build villages... that sort of thing... I use Reiki mainly on myself, and when I do a healing on someone else it is voluntary anyway But thanks that's also interesting! What I was looking for here though is some help in brainstorming for ideas of how I could raise the funds for such a voluntary program, as these programs come at a price too.... i.e a marathon... or a concert... any ideas welcome!

An evening of musicians/volcalist
one hour on stage by each group
throw in a comedy hour. Add raffles
much effort from others to donate
items such as massage treatment,
Reiki treatments, a free week at a
summer home, a trip to somewhere
from your local tourist, x amount at
a grocery store. Hardware store. even
a car donated for raffle. $100 dollars
or more for a ticket. It depends on the
community you live in.Fund rasing involves
a lot of time energy. Local church or
community center to donate the hall.
