Reiki Symbol Tam A Ram Sha Empty Reiki Symbol Tam A Ram Sha

Post by LightBody Sun Feb 17, 2013 3:34 am

    Hi everyone.

Lately I've run across more and more information about how and when to use the Reiki symbol Tam A Ram Sha ( Tamaramsha ). I'm aware of it as a Japanese Kanji character, but it's name and use as "tamaramsha" is something new to me.

What are the origins of the symbol? Who began using it, and when?

    Hi,

Tamarasha is not a Reiki symbol but a Kofutu Symbol. Kofutu is a Healing System from Atlantis, brought into beeing from Frank Homan.

The Kofutu Manuals says: "TAMARASHA (TAM A RÁ SHA)
This improves our intuitive comprehension of our spiritual knowledge and perception, helping to establish the associations between our physical identity and our spiritual identity. In this way we can stop working at cross-purposes with ourselves and allow our spiritual knowledge to fit comfortably with our material life."

    Smile blessings

    Hi Buck

As Susanne says, Tamarasha is used in the "Atlantean" Kofutu Healing System but was also introduced into some Reiki lineages, possibly via Mary Shaw, an Australian who also practiced a form of Seichim (?Isis Seichim).

I was given the tamarasha symbol by my first Reiki teacher, whose lineage came via Phyllis Furumoto and then through Australia, which is I think where the tamarasha was introduced. I was first attuned in 1998 so the symbol was in use in some Reiki styles by then.

I no longer use it though. Smile

    Hi Carina

There seem to be plenty of images of tamarasha around if you Google 'tamarasha symbol' and here is just one:

To me, it seems to be a little bit like the Japanese kanji for Dai (great) in a circle Smile
