The Purpose..

Remember your first encounters with Reiki? That chilled out bliss that crept through you during your first treatments. Like a fog rolling silently, your body, mind, even your soul was encompassed by something otherworldly, yet familiar.

Perhaps you were like me, diving straight into initiation. The powerful unexpected feeling of oneness it may bring can be a welcome and much needed shock. Creating a positive crisis in our out of kilter lifestyle.

Do you recall the enthusiasm of those days? There was you. There was Reiki. Then for you, you were Reiki. Soul mates. Not exactly. Over time, the blur and difference between you and Reiki dissolved. As understanding grew. Heady days of bliss deepened as you plunged into depths of serenity and calmness never before encountered.

Almost impossible to justify with words, only someone fortunate enough to share our knowing can truly appreciate, and give thanks, just for today. For the experience we shared....

Why then, since Reiki is so special, do many practice less? Even move onto other things entirely. Is Reiki for life? Should it be for life?

What does it mean if someone moves onto other things? Is there a meaning?

What is our Reiki Ryoho for?

Reiki is ancient, its not a quick fix, its priceless.     

Reiki is indeed ancient but the practice of Usui Reiki Ryoho less so

We can let our Reiki practice slip and move on to other techniques, if we really feel we must but we can never move on from Reiki...it is part of us, it is who/what we truly are!

Ain't that the truth! In many ways society does not advance, at least positively. There is still much value in older ways don't ya think?

I can compare long-term relations with Reiki to marriage.

There is a honeymoon in the beginning. The beloved couple can not imagine to be split. A man and a woman are discovering something new in each other and every second is sweet and brings enormous delight. Then passion becomes to fade and they start to see imperfections and blemishes in each other. This period is difficult – ask any couple who have been living together for a long time. They have passed through dramatic changes and serious storms. But real love appears in these periods, love which does not depend on passion.

Hot hands, lights, energy streams – all these appears in the beginning. One feels it very strong. It is interesting, capturing, it brings delight.

But are these feelings the aim to practice Reiki?
I would name it as "side-effects". They simply show you that Reiki is something that REALLY exists.

One has to go further. One has to change his mind, the way he thinks, the way he treats everything around. It takes time, long time. These changes can not be estimated. The only criteria of them is harmony around you and inside you.

The older I am the more difficult for me to shout at every corner: “Reiki is the only solution! Reiki heals everything!!!”

But Reiki has shown the way for me. I would use the Sanskrit word dharma for it.

This practice has prepared me for another knowledge which I scoop from Veda now.
It has taught me to understand laws of karma -- the laws of the Universe, the laws of the God.

Wayne, I am glad to hear that we are on the same wave. I am afraid, I’ve heard nothing of your teachers. Can you send me some links to their lectures? What a pity I can not share mine! But if you decide to learn Russian one day, I’ll  overload you with them.

Yes, Reiki heals. But there are diseases which are given because of somebody’s fate. So one has to learn to live with them. Even if such deceases can not be cured, Reiki helps to change the attitude to them. Instead of complainants and jealousy to those who are much more healthy one has a brilliant chance to receive a very powerful instrument for the soul.

Wealth and prosperity. Reiki can bring it. But it is useless to compare your income and the financial abilities of your neighbours.  Reiki teaches you to be satisfied with what you have.

Reiki opens your mind and intuition. But the explanations are given in Vedanta.

A: Reiki is a primordial consciousness that was present from the start and infuses all creation. Its purpose is to organise and balance all that is. It has been misunderstood by many as the animating force – life force energy – but it is not so. The life force energy has many names e.g. Prana, Ki, Qi, Mana, Holy Spirit etc. but Reiki acts upon these to allow them to function properly and removes blockages and obstacles to balance. In this respect it is similar to Quan Yin/Kannon/Ganesha etc. It is an aspect of the Divine One.

We cannot do Reiki, we can emanate Reiki and as we do, we raise our vibration and become closer to experiencing our True Nature, who we really are and know that we are God/Universe/Source. We are one pattern in the tapestry of creation – yet all the patterns are linked.

The patterns are also changing and evolving, through experience and free will. The links can never be broken, although sometimes it can seem that way.

Imagine a fractal that you can look deep into and see ever more layers, repeating and cycling to infinity. This is how your pattern evolves and changes – going ever deeper and repeating until you can see the pattern and realise that this is what is happening.
Then something wonderful happens: your pattern shines out among the others and the links are brighter and more obvious to you. But the internal movement stops and you expand to become the whole tapestry. All the patterns are contained within yourself and you are made up of all the possible patterns and join in communion with the Divine One, from whence your human consciousness came. The Reiki and your human consciousness become the Divine Consciousness.

James was a student of swami Dayananda. I sure ya heard of him.

Glad you liked it. Believe it or not, it was actually an "answer" I received during a meditation from someone called Aaron. Never really into this channelling stuff but at the moment I seem to be doing just that sometimes!
