    Any thoughts on this subject.

Sounds like it might be similar to some of the Shamanic workshops I've gone to. Ontarugo, or the Jaguar, or the Illumined Warrior who has no enemies in this or any lifetime, who has seen the death and the birth of galaxies, is the iconic archetype of the West. Additionally, the South is the direction of Sachamama, the Serpent, where you shed that which no longer serves.

So this workshop sounds like it might potentially be similar to a combination of these two that I've been to in Incan Shamanism.

Are the workshops leaders strict about
following their guidelines. Do you have
to conform to their directions. Do you
have freedom to withdraw from an activity
without feeling like a failure. sunny

I can only relay the experiences I had with Christina Donnel in her Winds of Change Association, LLC workshop in the Twin Cities, MN (actually, the workshops were just across the border in Wisconsin at a Methodist retreat center).

In my first, the South, we did partner exercises where we helped pull the imprints of things we wanted to shed from our partner’s aura. Part of this process was holding the person and comforting them after removing the imprints.

The girl that I was partnered with had some bad experiences with men, and so was terrified in having to do this with me. Christina did not make her, or make her feel bad for being afraid. She merely asked if I’d mind switching partners, and she then took over for the girl.

My experience with this particular teacher, is a very nurturing, accepting environment.

I cannot speak for the workshop you’ve posted about in this way.

I was at a week end Alternative healing conference
about 5 years ago at Lesley university. on the last
day of the conference we gathered in the large
assembly hall where Robert Gass Ed.D lead a music
meditation and guided process that I was not familiar
with, we worked in groups of 4 each taking a turn to
be in the center lying down while the group helped you
to relax, let go, mourn your losses & renew our heart
& souls in celebration of the human spirit. It was very
moving. The music he played was "OM Namaha Shivaya" I
believe Robert Gass was a pioneer in the hospice movement
in the 70's. His musical group is "On Wings of Song" sunny

Just skimmed through the topic, Smile. I highly recommend anything from James Ray. I've listened ot a few of his live telesminarsm they're real cool. I havn't attended any of his in-person stuff. I know he was in London this year, and maybe next.

I'd guess he'd be very supprtive about any individuals wants, per your query Bridget. Going by the material of his i've looked at.

Then again, i've heard from some attendees of Andrew Cohen, that Andrew isn't all he seems. Kinda suprised me that, as i resonated with him also.

One thing was a down-side with James. With some things he was saying, it's said it's newly emerging science. It's so new that i could find no verification anywhere else. Even James' office wasn't very helpful.

Andy is right, James has personally had intiiatorial experience3s with some very profound shaman's for many years.

I don't belong to any Shaman group
but I have felt the out of body
    experiences going above rather than
    under.

I have also heard that sleep paralizes
is the bodies response to out of body
    experiences.
