Does Valentine's day bring saddness or a smile ? break/mend hearts?

Does Valentine day cause more heart break ?

I had a friend tell me that in school he hated
bringing in valentines for everyone never knew
why he had to give to another boy or even a girl
that he disliked.

As teens it puts pressure on to send chocolate or
flowers to someone just because its Valentine's Day

Do you have a reason why Valentine's day is not the
day its chalked up to be?

sorry for late post, only had my internet fixed. Usually the missus & myself would do something, this year it wasn't practible, so we kinda decided to do nothing, get each other nothing. Then on Sat we were in a shop and i saw the missus looking at the valentine stuff for a long time. When we got back home i made an excuse to go out to the shop again, and got the most expensive/biggest card there was, so came back and she was all smiles & very happy.

I'd kinda assumed since her & I are very tactile anyhow, moreso no we're solely together on our own in England, that we don't need one single day to show our love (we so it daily), so yeah i thought it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. until i saw my missus staring at the stuff in the shop, hehe. I'm kinda on the fence on this one atm!

I think a lot of people are on the fence when it comes
to Valentine's Day. I notice during this economical time
the card stores,florist still seem to flourish maybe they
are in the same boat as the buyers struggling to make
ends meet.

is alive and well during all the other days of the year
