    Hi Everybody,

    Nothing much about me,

I am a female, I practice Reiki. I read a lot. I ask questions a lot. I am still learning about Reiki. When I was brand new Reiki 1, a while ago, I knew exactly what Reiki was.

All my comprehension was innocent & pure and with blind faith Like a Star @ heaven . Then I got around forums, learned the good with the bad and the junk.

Right now, I am just gathering and seeking.... jocolor ...enjoying the journey! sunny

    About the website:-
It's really adorable! ( LOVE the emoticons!! so cute...) I will follow all rules and I will try my best regarding my grammer and spelling. My dog ate it like 5 years ago! Now the more I stare at a word, the more confused about the spelling , I become! drunken

I have been eyeing the topic about the universal life force, can't wait to get into it!! Basketball

chuckle... personally, I don't mind if other folks use the emoticons, but I don't. I don't particularly like them.

I can get into the why's and wherefores if you'd like... but for now I will leave it a mystery...

I fancy myself a writer. I really love how expressive and eloquent the written word can be. I enjoy both reading and writing as descriptively as I can. Although sometimes I just write my thoughts on message boards such as these, which often causes the problems you expressed above.

I feel that using “text speak” (i.e. “u r kool” or “I h8t u”) or emoticons (although you will see me type out a chuckle or smile or even use the old <g> for grin) is a lazy and rather ineffective way to portray emotion. Ultimately I would wish everyone would be able to eloquently write out what they want to express. But I know that isn’t always possible at the various different aptitudes people have for such. So I generally tolerate, with a smile (real one), the emoticons.

    Andy, That's cool! Cool
I guess you choose words for expression and I choose pictures( for garnish )! We both are using different expressions - is all!
I absolutely LOVE to read something beautifully written. I can melt into those words and enjoy them but can't write some myself.

I feel that using “text speak” (i.e. “u r kool” or “I h8t u”) or emoticons (although you will see me type out a chuckle or smile or even use the old <g> for grin) is a lazy and rather ineffective way to portray emotion.

Actually , althought the text speak is annoying, I see creativity and intelligence there. Very Happy It's not all that easy to write text speak, a skill you have to learn. I wouldn't use it in a forum though and I can't text speak. Period.
I actually liked it when you wrote 'chuckle'.... I thought that was pretty effective.

Actually emoticons save me in a way. I say stuff. I express opinions. But I am also nervous that they could be interpreted negatively... I make jokes. I don't want to hurt people's feelings.
So emoticons are my safety net. Hopefully peppering my post with emoticons with make it 'light hearted' which is what I want!

Ultimately I would wish everyone would be able to eloquently write out what they want to express. But I know that isn’t always possible at the various different aptitudes people have for such. So I generally tolerate, with a smile (real one), the emoticons.

That will be really nice, Yes! I can understand your passion as a writer.
I am a borderline vocab/grammer/spelling Klutz. But I will remember to put in my best effort at writing. I don't mind. Basketball
Maybe I will watch you and learn.
