65 farenheit is a warm spring day to us in Uk. We had 5 farenheit for christmas, try that on for size! hehe. atm, it's 28 farenheit outside.
Then again, i don't think we got any members in Russia, Iceland, etc, but i bet they'd be laughing at me also!

There. I did it for them! Today, we have "cold" (still 65)and "rain" (less that 0.005"). Everyone is San Diego is tucked into their homes with their furnaces turned up to 70 degrees!! In the meantime, I had a client this afternoon. He's originally from Russia (speaks almost no English so we communicate with a translator application I have on my iPhone). He's running around in shorts!.....and he's 85 years old!!!

Your Russian friend sounds like my Swede. He runs down to the laundry room, which includes crossing the garden, in his shorts and sandles. Yep, even with the snow these last months. lol The neighbors think he's nuts.

Re: How's the weather where you are?
I'm freezing just thinking about it! When my late husband and I went to Europe, it was September. Everyone was wearing light cover....and I was running around with two of my husband's T-shirts on under my long-sleeve shirt. Over that, I had a sweater, and sweatshirt and a jacket! And I was still cold!!
On the other hand, it can be 95 to 115 degrees here and I won't even break a sweat! So I guess it all evens out in the end!

Re: How's the weather where you are?
Miday, I have been trying to send you a pm in response to your last post on the other thread since last night and it keeps going to my outbox. Don't know why. I've actually sent pm's here before and don't understand what's up. Anyway, maybe if you send me a pm, I can answer it with my response I have been trying to send. I was tring to keep from highjacking the other thread and now I am here terrorizing.

No problem startdust. Milarepa will come to your rescue.
Keeping on the subject of weather. Here in Massachusetts
we are beginning to see the temperatures climb and snow
piles melt. That is great. Our first big snow fall was
at thanksgiving Nov, with many more storms to follow and
our last big snow fall was last week. Today its in the 50's
time to think gardening.

Re: How's the weather where you are?
Wow. Snow since November. I just can't imagine it. I'm not complaining about here in San Diego any more!! We're getting rain again today. I admit we can always use the rain but it does put a cramp on doing Tai Chi classes outside!! The storm coming through right now is a Northern flow so it's a cold rain and wreaks havoc on tropical plants! But it's fast-moving. Unfortunately, it translates to snow when it gets back to the East coast!

Here in the North East US the temperatures
have dropped. Outside it looks like a summer's
day birds building nests. It seems like the
tree branches are sprouting buds.

Re: How's the weather where you are?
This weekend has been wonderful! We actually got to do our Tai Chi class outdoors yesterday. Only a slight drizzle. Today is lovely. About 68 degrees, sun shining. Took my dogs to the Dog Bark for a couple of hours. It's starting to feel like Spring time!!

Re: How's the weather where you are?
Ok, here in New England we are emptying
buckets of water out of basements. Trees
and power lines down. The St Patricks day
parade was not cancelled and most folks
stayed home with buckets in hand. could
have been snow shovels but in the north
east we got a two day rain storm. With
hopes it will wind down tomorrow

Re: How's the weather where you are?
That's the weather we had here a few days ago. You're welcome!
Gee maybe you should move out here to the west coast!! No, probably not so great an idea. At least you have 4 seasons. We only have wet or dry.
Hope your weather starts warming up soon and gets gloriously beautiful!!

Thanks for sending, next time
can you not be so heavy handed
or at least send some sunshine
to help us dry off.
We are one of the few places
in the world with 4 seasons.
I love it, after growing up in
a climate that was cold,wet &
rainy in the spring, warm & rainy
in the summer, cold & foggy in
autumn, & icy and cold in the winter.
Rain gear and wellingtons seasonal.

You're welcome again!!
In San Diego, we're running around in shorts and sleeveless shirts or tank tops. This is my kind of weather! Today, it was 78 here at the beach. Inland at Santee (where my little Russian client lives) it was up into the mid-80s!

Re: How's the weather where you are?
The sunshine and 70 degree weather is a
preview of what's to come. I appreciated
every moment. I thought I raked in the fall.
Today I raked & raked the more I raked the
more leaves kept appearing. My lilac tree
has small leaves ready to sprout. Orange /tiger
lilies are taking over. Any gardeners out there.
My lilac tree was shedding moldy leaves in the
fall. I'm hoping for healthy leaves to sprout,
if no, any ideas how to treat the tree?
