Well spotted, Wayne - I was focusing too much on the names of the naval officers to pick up on that!

I don't think you can seriously practice the "healing form" without becoming more spiritual - and by seriously practicing the "spiritual form" healing will begin to occur in oneself and also becomes available for others. In essence, though, by practicing the full system of Usui Reiki Ryoho we are practicing both the "spiritual" and the "healing" forms, which are, in reality, inseparable.

can i take these words as "reiki start oozing out of us naturally, effortlessly, and without intent, even for the sake of healing of those besides us, after we have travelled some kilometers on our way of spirituality"

Yes, Salman, I believe you can!

As we progress on our Reiki path, and become more and more connected/aware of/experience our true nature or our bright light within, we can effortlessly emanate that light out into universe. That light is Reiki!
