Anyway, here it goes, i found at James website a mention of Hikari no kokyu ho
and would like to learn the how-to on it. I couldn't find it anywhere, save
some note saying it was a variance of Joshin kokyu ho.
Does anyone here have any notes or article on how this one is done?
Kindly,
Erik
Hi Erik
Hikari no Kokyu ho (The Breathing of the Light Method) is indeed a form of Joshin Kokyu Ho, as practiced as part of Hatsurei ho.
In the Steines' Reiki Source book it is given as an alternative name to Joshin Kokyu Ho but in Hiroshi Doi's book 'Modern Reiki Method for Healing' he says that the method is "taken from Joshin Kokyo-Ho" and also "as the original method is difficult to practice I have simplified it so it is easy to practice. It is very effective for removing stress and tensions."
It is basically done the same way as Joshin Kokyu-ho, sitting comfortably, eyes lightly closed, hands in Gassho and calm the mind. Breathing in and out normally, through the nose.
Then the 'trademark' Gendai, raise your hands as high as possible and feel the vibrations of the light showering all over your body. Then lower your hands palm upwards onto your lap, relaxed, as though holding a large egg in each hand.
Bring your attention to your (seika) tanden and listen to your breathing.
While breathing in, visualise that Reiki white energy is filling your head and down to your tanden. From there, the energy spreads to all of your organs and every cell of your body. Actually try to feel the healing process happening.
As you breathe out allow the light to emanate through your skin in all directions, becoming part of your aura and then out to infinity.
Repeat for as long as you feel comfortable.
Gassho again to finish and shake your wrists.
Hope that helps,
Ai to Hikari
