    Here in Boston it's a local holiday
    Evacuation Day. in remembrance of
    A major early victory in the War
    for Independence, March 17, 1776
    saw the British evacute Boston
    without a shot being fired.

    It also marks mid- lent when you
    can break your fast for 1 day only.
    I never did understand that part drunken

    Oh Happy St. Paddy's day Bridget! There's a concert in Nottingham city with a band from Wexford or something. We might bring the kids for some face-painting & Irish Stew.
