If anybody is interested, I got this utterly delicious, simple yet spicy rice recipe!
I made it tonight and was happy to clean out an empty bowl...
Letz call it "Spicy Red Garlic Rice"...
1. Cook 2 cups of Plain Rice as per directions. (a rice cooker or a microwave or on the stove) Ask me for fail proof directions.. Cool it, preferably. If you like add a tsp of oil and 1 tsp of salt to the cooking water.
2. Take 3-4 cloves of fresh, peeled garlic and grind it with 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper and salt with 1-2 tblsp of water.
( how, you ask? Sit on it, step on it... etc,.)
3. Take a saucepan and heat upto 2tblsp of flavorless oil on high and stir in frozen peas, like 1/2 cup until cooked.
Add the ground up paste and immediately Reduce heat to low.
stir in the cooled rice and keep stirring until coated. check salt. Remove from heat. Don't let it continue to cook.
I promise you it will be delicious!
I served it with grilled chicken breast and asparagus.
For the cry babies- keep a tub of plain yogurt to jump into or add to the rice if necessary! No, it is not that spicy!
This is a Reiki forum, so don't forget to bless your food before you eat. I am not sure if it will 'fix' your recipe for you but atleast you'll live!
Hugs,
THC
