I learned along the way the same lesson
that Usui spoke of when he practiced Reiki
healing in the slums of Kyoto. Usui decided
that there must be an exchange of value in
order for the healing to be valued.

When you are a new Reiki practitioner do you
find it difficult to charge for your Reiki
    services? bounce

i did for sure bridget. i'll be honest, i still do at times. i go through the same for self defence also. some folks are really down & out, so we do help. we've gotta be very careful though, it's not about just giving the service for free, in some way the person should recompense. it could be in all manner of ways really.

the old tale of folks not appreciating things if they get it for free. of course this wont hold true to all folks, but no truth does. it holds true for what i've usually expereinced though. it's through this aspect of Reiki training that it's actually helped my business in other areas.

    warmest wishes

Barting never worked for me the
    persons never followed thru on
their end. I never pushed for
    the owed services.

    CIMC Vipassana Meditation and Mindfulness
in my city don't advertise that if you
can't afford the membership you can work
it off doing chores at the center. Then
    there's paying for the sittings workshops ect;

i understand this completely. for some time, i just won't give my service, unless payment is also there. this is just business really. i've even got a problem with companies whom invoice us. if i deliver my service, i'd like to be paid upon completion. i've saw so many who decide not to pay, after they've recieved a service, it's not cool.
