Busy mind during reiki session Empty Busy mind during reiki session

    Post by poppy18 Tue Oct 11, 2011 10:32 pm

Hi all, Can a clients distracted busy mind during a treatment be transfered to me?
I was doing a 2nd treatment on a lady today & i found myself very distracted at times and not my usual reiki feelings. At the time i found this very strange as prior to the session i felt well grounded and relaxed. While doing the treatment i found the head positions to be very powerful and almost pulling away/forceful. It was not till our discussion and reflection of the treatment that the client said she found it very hard to get everyday things out of her mind and felt more distracted than last time. Is there a link or is it coincidenence? Can i help ease this for my clients? Or was it me who was distracted in the 1st place! Shocked
mmmm i feel slightly confused & am probably worrying too much.

    Thankyou Smile

Hi Poppy, did these feelings/thoughts seem alien to you? i.e were they your own..? things you might normaly think about or stuff from everyday life? It's probably no coincidence, if like you said you were having strong sensations while treating the head area... (if I got that right). Could be ur psychic abilities developing... and with some people (you are treating), for some reason, they seem to flair up more so than with others. I can give you loads of personal examples. But this might help to explain too: Wink
You could try using SHK. And maybe starting the session at the feet.

thankyou for the reply. reflecting on it more it definatley felt different and not my usual. I like the sound of it being my psychic abilities developing Very Happy
Good suggestion about the SHK, funny thing is that for about 1hour before the lady arrived i could not decide for some reason whether to use the SHK or not. I was really torn and didnt know whats for best or why i was having the thoughts. I didnt use SHK in the end.
suppose i feel a little bad that she didnt have as good a session as last time, good lesson learned i guess. Smile

No 2 Reiki sessions are the same each
session brings a new time frame into
    play.Example: Yesterday I had a great day,
today I have stuff to do that I did not get
done yesterday. Tomorrow I have a dentist
appointment. My boss has been really
cranky this week. Each day or week brings
along a string of different events or
people into our lives. Its unlikely that you
as a practitioner can control the behavior
of a client during a session. I have people
cry during a session & reassure them its Ok.
I have had clients talk and I just acknowledge
with a hmmm but do not engage or encourage
conversation. Just accept what is and let it be
Its OK to observe, acknowledge and try not to be
    analytic. sunny bounce
