Interesting that 'Spiritual Healer' has been added in handwriting - I assume by Hayashi Sensei. Although Reiki is clearly a spiritual healing practice, these days it seems to be set apart from what many people regard as 'spiritual healing'.

It is more likely the note was added by some official to clarify - for the port authorities - the context in which 'Master of Hayashi Reiki Kenkyu' was being used.
