The other day I was looking at a photo album made by a Facebook friend, The photos contained snapshots of how he makes the Spice tea from start to finish. Pictures of the choice of spices, the water boiling, the tea straining into the cup, the steam, the lighting etc,..

I make tea all the time, I never realized how beautiful everything was!!! I saw how beautiful & symmetrical & full of texture a single cinnamon stick can be!! It was a visual-sensory treat....

I was just thinking how much I was missing out only after I saw all those stilled images of some random , everyday, tea making activity..

It's amazing how much we ignore
the present moment. I find myself
engaged in thoughts of maybe hours
beyond the moment into the future.
Such as what I'm going to cook for
dinner.When it's dinner time I find
myself reflecting back into the past
moments chatting about the events of
the day/week. It would seem that to be
aware of every thing that's happening
in the present moment I need to practice
moment awareness while my mind multi-tasks
