views on some after life concepts ideas...

Post by Pachamama on Tue Aug 09, 2011 8:58 am

hi all...this has cropped up a couple of times for me lately....and it's an idea i completely disagree with.

apparently it is some buddhists belief that a person who has died, cannot be connected with/ or this person cannot return to earth( or something like that) after about 50 days of death... I recently created a bit of a stir in a particular seminar with disagreeing with this concept....and I wasn't given a satisfactory answer to my questions. for anyone out their who are strong buddhists, perhaps I have misunderstood what was trying to be conveyed.....and I kept saying this in the seminar, as frankly i felt they were basically saying once someone has been dead for over 50 days there is no way you can connect with them....well I know from my own personal experience that this idea is b*llocks!

    what say you..............?

any mediums in the house?.....I'm not a medium, but I have had many encounters with discarnate beings......some known to me from this life, some not. Those known to me had passed many years previously...

what are people's views on the idea of a 'specific time frame' disabling communication?

*sighs* religious dogma strikes once again...

I will PM you as I am not sure exactly how much I can say about some aspects of this in a public forum.

Find this curious. HH Dalai Lama teaches that if two people are in each others lives, have same interests, worship same, etc, once they die they can be reunited in the next incarnation. In that way that's a massive connection.

I'd read once, that extreme grief can anchor someone so that they cannot move on.

Aww crap....Ok universe i get it! bounce ....

I guess i'm going to have to write about this in the experiences section now also. Last week something very unnvering happened to me. I began to have twitches in the left side of my face. My left eye started to close, my face felt as if it was collapsing. I began to have cramps, then pain in my left arm, travelling uo it, toward my chest area. My whole left side then began to feel like this. My whole body then began to feel numb. And toward the right of my heart also felt some pressure. I was lucid throughout this, though did have a real sore head, again, left side. I managed to get to Ann, and lay down on bed. She began to give Reiki, whilst i also did. I did feel i might die. And i'm not one to be dramatic about such things. I've enver feared death, but them I didn't want to leave my family just yet, i enjoy being around them so much. God, hehe, now i'm crying. Anyhow, for about 45 minutes this went on. I dare not get up from the bed. I asked God to help me, out loud, and some respite came. After 5 minutes symptoms came back again. I'd thought about my dad a lot during this. I was sure i was having a stroke. He died having a heart attack, saying he was scared. I wish i was there for him. Anyhow, i began to ask my Dad out loud to please help me. Within 5 minutes i was better. I could get up and move around, and have bene fine since.

Coincidence, maybe. however, something positive happened. Without any conscious effort on my part, my energy has peaked to massive levels. I've so many idea, so many projects i'm beginning, and acting them out. My business ventures have suddenely picked up once more. I feel so intense inside, with good energy. I am back to sleeping irregular, only because i have so much to do, so much i want to do. I'm not sure where this 'need' has came from, but i must do 'things'.

If it's not illegal, and not breaking Jikiden code, or any personal promise, please share it Colin! Irrespective if it would upset any group of people. The forum is a safe place for all views, that's paramount.

    warmest wishes
    Wayne

    Doh! Ok then! Smile

I am also not a medium and I have (as far as I know) not had any encounters with discarnate beings, so I can't really say for sure who is correct here (Buddhists or Spiritualists).

It is my understanding, reading about Buddhist and Shinto beliefs about what happens to the Core Soul (or Spirit) after death that the body is considered to have 3 layers:

an outer layer of flesh and blood
an inner layer of mind and consciousness
a deeper Core Soul or Spirit

The layer of flesh and blood usually starts to decay after a few days after death and eventually returns to dust (unless it is cremated or mummified).

The layer of mind and consciousness is what Mahayana Buddhists believe dissipates or disappears after 48 or 49 days and Shintoists say this takes 50 days.

The Core Soul however is what persists and ascends to heaven to be re-clothed with the other two layers to be re-born and experience new things. In the Vietnamese Mahayana Buddhist tradition some spirits are reborn 3 days, 21 days, 49 days or 100 days after death, and in some cases even 7 years.

As far as Reiki is concerned it doesn't really matter. We give Reiki in the present moment, wherever/whoever the soul is. So whether you believe the same person is still around after the 50 days following physical death or not, just connect to the soul and you will connect to the core essence which is where all healing ultimately begins.

One thing that does puzzle me though is if it is our core soul that (re-)incarnates and becomes clothed in a new body and new mind (although some old memories can sometimes be retained) in order to experience certain things what is it that mediums communicate with years after someone's death, when their core soul should supposedly have re-incarnated as a new consciousness?

I guess that is your point, Sharon? Does the mind/consciousness of a person really live on separate to the soul after the soul has re-incarnated? Unless the core soul of that person has not re-incarnated as a new consciousness, then perhaps it does if it is still recognisable and/or has the same memories as a person who died several years ago?

But to re-iterate, I think that Reiki occurs at a soul level so the existence of a consciousness or mind or body is not necessary for Reiki to have an affect. (Though obviously most Reiki sessions are conducted on a soul that does have a mind and body to influence and bring back to balance!)

I guess we won't really know the truth until we die! But for now, we just practice Reiki!

    Smile

Oh and Wayne, thanks for sharing another of your experiences, although I think that if I was experiencing those symptoms, particularly with a known family history, I would call (or get someone to call) for medical assistance before starting with the Reiki! affraid

I know many would do this, and that's cool. I've got personal beliefs, and i go to the doctors for very, very little. I cant share it on the forum, it's completely out of place here, and would be viewed as irresponsible although it's simply an alterantive view. Its' not i dont get treatment. A phone call to 999 is easy to do, so i must have had my reasons. Smile.

well I've just read Colins pm and responded by pm..doh! should have checked this thread first! nothing in that post that couldn't have been shared here Colin.... Very Happy

and JEEZ Wayne, you got some sh*t going on eh???? As I already mentioned I have had my own connections with discarnate beings long after they popped their cloggs, so I know for a FACT that communication is possible!... and you're not the first person to say that about our 'grief' and other emotions 'stopping' someone from moving on. I don't believe it does...... I do believe that a person who has 'died' can only reach a certain level of 'growth' beyond death, if they struggle to forgive themselves for how their actions impacted others in our physical dimension. I don't believe in the concept of hell, but for some who have passed, they can exist within a particular 'energetic state' of being created by their own mind waves.....a 'hell of their own making'.

I believe each and every person is born surrounded by discarnate beings filled with Love and Light and dies surrounded by discarnate beings filled with Love and Light. Sometimes we feel terribly said for those people we think 'die alone'......some folk do appear to have sad and lonely physical deaths.....but the truth is No-One dies alone!.....we are all met by Love... although depending on ones state of mind at immediate death, one may not be able to 'feel' that Love immediately.

Harry Edwards ( a great British Healer and Medium) has written some wonderful books...I recommend them to everyone. Betty Shines books are great also....actually I've read many many books about healing and mediumship.....it would seem the too skills often go hand in hand... Very Happy

and as for strange experiences.....( today I've had alsorts of stuff going on.....all lovely lovely stuff though) beautiful feelings of liquid love flowing along my spine.. but I'm not gonna talk about my day at the mo.

last week, I had a bit of an odd one....I told the hubby about it, and I rarely tell him about these experiences....anyway.. we'd had a bit of a late night, the hubby gets up an hour earlier than me for work, so I usually drift back over again...well this morning I got into quite a deep sleep...then a whistle woke me up, ( a human voice whistle) I thought this was a bit odd.....and drifted slightly again ( as you do), then I heard a man's voice mumble something to me.....when I stirred it was 10.20am I leave the house at 10.45am, I was well late.

hmmmmm I've had some weird and wonderful experiences in my time, and had some interesting 'pyschic' experiences, but one thing I have NEVER had happen to me is hearing voices!.....I started wondering if my Jikiden experience had opened up a clauraudient channel in me!....EEK!..I seriously did.

I've been thinking about so much since the seminar.....as we all do after these Reiki experiences.....we start going through transformations and shifts...so much has been coming to the fore for me, particularly very very beautiful spiritual experiences I've had in the past!!! and I've been thinking about this lineage thing.... I still can't formulate my thoughts on it..but heres some stuff that has arisen for me of late. At the moment I'm reading a book about genetics and how the potential for development of some deseases can be passed down through our genes. Our family tree determines our genetic makeup.........our lineage is like a family tree which passes on certain energetic qaulities which can offer the potential for the development of particular 'spiritual abilities'....

hmmmm to me theres some kind of 'energetic/spiritual quality-abilty' osmosis going on...

The first healer I ever received healing from ( post man by day, healer by night)...had the 'energetic/spiritual quality-ability' to see visions.... after receiving healing from him, I started to 'see visions too'....very vivid, all symbolic and all connected to my life.

The second healer I received healing from....I had an incredible dream about her, in which ( I know this sounds odd) she crawled up my body when I was laid in bed, then whilst laid across the top of me she began to hummm, this humming was very powerful and the vibrations went straight in at my throat centre and vibrated throughout my entire body, it was amazing...the next day when I woke up I felt like a million dollars and that high lasted for weeks. ( did this lady have powerful dreams in which she healed peopl?)

another lady I trained with had different ' energetic spiritual quality-abilties'....did I absorb some of her spiritual genetics through healing osmosis?

another lady I trained with enabled all of the class to 'see' inside our physical bodies..her talent! through some kind of osmosis too....

another lady i trained with is an incredibly spiritual lady....she has a HUGE heart and amazing capacity for compassion and love.......was it merely a coincidence, that I had a profound opening of my heart through her Reiki osmosis??

hmmmmm I know I'm just kinda waffling out loud......but I think lineage within Reiki isn't just about passing on the ability to 'tap into the source of Reiki'.....I think we also absorb through spiritual osmosis some ' spiritual gene'....ie spiritual energetic, quality ability..from the person who teaches us....we don't just get the Usui gene, we also pick up random genes from everyone in that lineage...

maybe someone at the Jikiden seminar had the gene for ' hearing male whistles and mumbling male voices form another dimension' instead of an alarm clock?? who knows????

I have no idea if any of this has made sense to anyone....but these are just some of the thoughts going through my system at the moment? affraid Basketball scratch
