    Hello,
I hope someone can help me as my Reiki Master is out of the country and I have no-one to turn to with my experience.

I have recently been attuned to Reiki First Degree.  I was inspired to do the Reiki Training after very positive experiences with Reiki treatments.  However, whenever I start a self healing session, I start to experience pain.

As I start with the hands on my brow chakra, and begin the Reiki, my legs are suddenly full of pain. The pain then stays even if I stop the Reiki session.

Please can someone shed some light on this, as I really want to continue with the self healing.

    Warm welcome Sonia.

Healing can often manifest as what seems to be a worsening of the situation. Or a new situation. In another therapy, Quantum Touch, it is taught the the pain can move. This is because often where the symptom is, is not where the cause is. Perhaps when the pain moves, move with it to. Keep doing so, each time it moves.

Healing is a journey. Not just about the eradication of symptoms, but self-discovery.

    warmest wishes

it's difficult to focus when you're in pain and its very easy to stop. so while i would agree with Waynes reponse to carry on through it, you might like to add a breathing exercise to it.

just imagine the pain energy flowing down through your legs and being released into the earth. it will help with grounding too. and since you're new to reiki - alternate on the breath in the reiki energy doing what it does as you've been taught, and on the breath out let the pain flow down through your feet to the earth.

hope it works out soon Smile
