Takata resurrected from the dead Empty Takata resurrected from the dead

Post by LightBody Tue Jul 09, 2013 11:00 am

Which author and book told the story of Takata being pronounced dead, and then returned to to life through the miraculous and resurrecting healing power of Reiki?

Was it Helen Haberly's Reiki: Hawayo Takata's Story, or Fran Brown's Living Reiki: Takata's Teachings?

    Thanks

I think in Helen's book it mentions something about someone Takata was treating, that was resurrected.

It was not Takata who was seemingly dead but the mother of her neightbor. It`s in Fran Brown`s book.

Ooooooh. It's been far too long since I read the book (well over 15 years ago), and have since lost my original printed copy of that time. I'll need to get the latest edition.

    Thank you

Takata also tells the story of how Reiki brought someone back who had been pronounced dead several hours earlier, on one of the tapes I have of her teaching.

It is quite amusing because the first thing the person said when they woke up was that they could smell food and were hungry. The food was being prepared for the person's funeral! Takata had to hide the death certificate that was pinned on the wall of the room! Smile

@colin Now that you mention it, I begin to remember it. I listened to Takata's actual words on a cassette tape around the same time I was reading Fran Brown's book (give or take 5 years). The facts started to get a little fuddled in my head, which is why I asked about it. I'm glad that I did.

But I do wonder how many people were mistakenly pronounced dead in her time... some years ago I heard the statistics were at least 700,000 per year, but have no source to back that up, at least not yet.

Do you happen to know statistics for today's era?

not meaning to be disrespectful, but didn't we discover a wee while ago that some of her stories were embellished and/or fabricated?

has that story been verified by anyone other than Mrs Takata?

Yes, but more specifically it was the hard work and research of William Rand, Rick Rivard, Walter Lubeck, and Frank Arjava Petter.

    That's a very interesting question!
