Gary Craig was a student of thought field therapy, who went on to form EFT. I gotta say, EFT is quite fantastic. I've succesfully used it to immediately end manifested addictive desires many times. In the training videos we see folks being cured of addiction, phobias of water, etc. It's an excellant modality.

The birth of EFT
EFT was given birth in the U.S. by Gary Craig, in the early 90's. Gary is Stanford graduate engineer, who initially followed a career in insurance sales and, as he many times claimed, he was successful and managed to have a high income.
Gary started very early in his life to research self-improvement and personal development methods and finally turned his professional activities solely on that direction, presenting seminars and offering "personal performance coaching".
While trying to educate himself and continuously searching for better methods and techniques for personal development, he got trained (back in 1991) in Dr. Roger Callahan's Thought Field Therapy or TFT. TFT was to become the father of EFT and also of numerous other methods in the field that we call today "energy psychology".

yeah, it's based on that. It's tapping at various parts of the face, collar bone, maybe under nipple, and hand. different sequence for different things. acupressure points, and the meridian system is used. Almost anything can be treated with it. Particulary mentional & emotional things.

I don't think the techniques are chinese although they do involve tapping certain key points but they also use other things similar to affirmations, movements and even singing, from what I rememeber.

that's right, such things like affirmations and eye movement are used in a session, maybe down to Gary's TFT days also. since it's 'thoughf field' therapy.
Since Gary is american, EFT is no more chinese than a person whom uses chakras in Reiki makes that Reiki system Vedic. Both TFT & EFT revolve around the chinese meridian systems though,. Dr. Richard Callaghan, whom created TFT calls it a 'meridian energy therapy'. Gary learned TFT, and then created EFT, using the same meridian techniques and it's these that are central to EFT.

gary's stuff is on-going, havn't hear he's stopping anytime soon. I got most of his material, if you ever want anything more than the first manual , lemme know, .
