during my teaching years our kindergarten team
worked on creating a name a curriculum that
included the 3 'r plus art, music, gym. It was so
much fun. We studied each child's name for a whole
week ending with a field trip.

I'm always interested in names how we got them and
what inspired us to chose the avatars we display
    on RLL scratch

Do you care to share why you chose your Avatar and name sunny

My avatar represents colors. Color therapy is very
healing. The colors we live with in our living rooms,
bedrooms, & kitchen can change our moods. My favorite
    color is Lavender. flower

My forum name also represents healing..
chi represent life force energy &
solas is celtic & means "light" in Gaelic.
Different cultures may have different meaning
for chi or similar meanings. This is my interpretation
    for chi_solas cheers

Mine is pretty simple. "Dragonfly" is from my business name: Dragonfly Reiki. And the image is from my logo.

Now...the reason I chose "Dragonfly Reiki" is a bit more complex. I did know that the dragonfly is revered in Japan, so that figured a little bit into my decision. However, it was mainly because the year I received my attunements, I kept seeing dragonflies everywhere. They are considered a symbol for transformation, and at that time in my life, there was a lot of that going on.

To get a bit more personal, I was in NYC at an elevated train station waiting for the train to take me into the city when a large dragonfly appeared out of nowhere (and rather unlikely up that high) and hovered in front of me for a couple of minutes. I felt a very strong energy through the crown of my head and I heard the phrase "you are not alone anymore." I found out a few weeks later that I was pregnant. When I did the calculations, I realized that must have been the moment of implantation. So it was a pretty easy choice as to what I wanted to represent my Reiki practice - a symbol that had been there during so much change and transformation for the better in my life!

I chose my Avatar to represent "Aura-Healing Light" and the awareness that our aura is not just around us, but has its origin in the Light at the core of our being. My name, EzriReiki? The "Reiki" part explains itself; and Ezri, it is short for Ezria, which is simply my name.

My nickname comes from my horse, Stardust, who was with me for 31 years. She was my best friend.

My granddaughter gave up dancing to be

different kind. She wants her own horse.

My name "Lambs-Wool" predates my coming to know reiki.

This name represents a compassion as well as an affirmation to myself continuously, that providing comfort to others is a landmark of human grace.

And that we can think on some lines where we can provide comfort to others even when we are no more...

not picked up an Avatar, maybe i still have to "enter the world of Avatars" lol!

    take care

    Thanks Bridget Smile

last evening, me and my missus were watching the video of your interview.. she, being non-reiki as yet, said she could feel the vibrations coming out of your hands while you were treating the client...

and, tell 'how do you do that' Smile

It always amazes me that folks
tell me how hot my hands get,
yet I do not feel them hot. I
    do notice the temperature in
the room change. The client was
not bothered by the chatter she
    was just relaxed and absorbed
the energy of the moment. sunny
