Male Reiki Practitioners Empty Male Reiki Practitioners

    Post by chi_solas Sun Apr 04, 2010 2:17 am

In the hospital that I visit
for Reiki I notice that there
is a large # of male nurses. Cool

I was wondering if there are
    any Statisic's on the percent
    of male Reiki practitioners. study

In Maine, male students, practitioners and clients are in a tiny minority. When I visit New York, it's much closer to equal numbers.

I know of only two men in my area that teach/practice Reiki. At the few shares I've attended the women usually outnumber the men.

Strange, because it seems that the principal leaders--or those who are producing the largest amount of literature about Reiki, are male. My examples are William Rand, Rick Rivard, James Deacon... there are many female Reiki authors but they do not seem to have produced the quantity of material as the aforementioned.

What works have the Gray's contributed? I only find one book, Hand to Hand, on Amazon.

Pamela Miles is very busy writing-wise, with her specific efforts to improve Reiki communication.

For the men-thing, keep in mind, producing lots of words could just as easily be evidence of staying in our heads. The point of Reiki, after all, is to do it.

    Yes! Yes! communicating, articulating can
enhance the way we interact intellectualy.
We can end up being the have's/have nots

Reiki is not verbal it embraces life and
works to balance and harmonize the earth's
    atmosphere sunny

    Interesting topic ^.^

It indeed seems that there are more female participants in courses.
Something I noticed also is that from the people who are interested in the origins of Reiki, the majority is male.

The only male Reiki teacher that
I know who practices near me. Is
    John Gray in New Hampshire.

I think that here in San Francisco it's pretty well balanced between the genders as far as practitioners are concerned, but there may be more female teachers.

you have written wonderfull but little modification required......

There is no gender in soul it is like air, it is like smell etc so in reiki we donot see the body we see the soul.May be common people divided in man and woman but reiki people not because there vision is very different from others.... and they work on soul rather than body......[b]

That's deep philosophical thinking, I love it cheers

Although when I'm facilitating a Reiki session.
I'm in a more holistic environment. I'm focused
on helping move blocked energy that involves mind,
    body, spirit/soul.
