you have written wonderfull but little modification required......

There is no gender in soul it is like air, it is like smell etc so in reiki we donot see the body we see the soul.May be common people divided in man and woman but reiki people not because there vision is very different from others.... and they work on soul rather than body......[b]

It is not philosophy it is reality believe me....

Although when I'm facilitating a Reiki session.
I'm in a more holistic environment. I'm focused
on helping move blocked energy that involves mind,
    body, spirit/soul.

I agree with we worked for mind, body, Spirit/soul but there is some Procedure due to that all that heal but it is not mean we are directly healing all. As soon as soul heal all other part of human body start to healing So Soul is Central process Unit of our body and this reiki energy frist go to soul than soul distribute to all...

Just going to post an assumption, but it seems there are more female american reiki practitioners and more male japanese reiki practitioners. The only female japanese reiki practitioner we think of historically is Ms Takata (besides maybe Hayashi's wife), who was more American than Japanese.

...and Chiyoko Yamaguchi, and her elder sister Katsue! Very Happy

Chie Hayashi (Chujiro Hayashi's wife) carried on teaching Reiki after her husband's death until the 1950's, I believe.

Then there is Kimiko Koyama, 6th President of the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai.

Imae Mitsune-sensei (Musician), wife of Umetaro Mitsune-sensei, who was also a Shihan (Teacher) student of Mikao Usui, was involved in teaching until she was 103 years old.

Not to forget Suzuki San, Tenon In and Mariko Obaasan, of course! Suspect

I also know that there are several female Shihan in the Jikiden Reiki institute in Kyoto.

So maybe there are more female Japanese Reiki practitioners than you think!

i am different for most of people and i feel first thing which heal by reiki is soul may be we are giving the healing any part of body.. realy difficult to find example i am searching ... to prove this.

Let start whatever we are doing in this life or feeling in life it is due to soul like If we smell something than it wish of our soul to smell this not body when we like something it wish of soul to taste it

Or when we died and soul comeout the body than everything stop even mind also stop to work So what is this.... This is showing soul is boss of all may be mind is doing their duty but boss is soul and all work which done by our body to give satisfaction to soul. When soul relaxed and happy our aura automatically increased and we get lot of power that reason most of saint work on heart chakara because soul living near by heart...

So whenever we heal anybody the healing first effect the soul and than soul to target area because soul is Super power and super power is god. So whatever happend in life may by happiness and sadness all this effect of soul and this effect put print mark of soul and make karma And our reiki work to clean that karma by healing and give happiness to soul or make it natural. When Soul healed than it started to heal other part even other soul....

So all this Spiritual science Master is our soul only we need to keep it fresh and healthy when it healthy capable to do whatever soul wants........

    vj,
not everybody believes in having a soul.
Some folks believe we get one after we
are born, being "BAPTISED" Some folks
believe we are spirits having a human
experience. Others reverse that and say
we are humans having a spiritual experience.

vj, everyone is at a different
place in their life. They are
were they're suppose to be. We
    all travel life's highway at
    different phases. Male/female
    Reiki practitioners each offer
    the same healing. Their sexual
    orientation does not change the
    healing energies. Their cultural
differences do not change the ULF
energies. The best we can do as
    Reiki practitions is practice the
5 precepts and be non judgemental
role models on life's highway. sunny

A Reiki master once said to me...The women in reiki want to be treated by a woman, but they want to be taught by a man...lol...very old school stereotyping.

For the record...my best teacher was female...Really I think it makes little difference...it is the connection on multiple levels that makes or breaks the student teacher relationship.

    Women's suffrage 1920.. began to
make changes as women's right to
vote changed the role of women.
It has been a slow process to see
women's roles change and today they
    are offered leading roles. Takata
    was a recognised leader,trained by
    Dr Hayashia.

Takata went on to trained men and women. Male Reiki Practitioners - Page 2 837313

It's confusing enough that Suzuki-san's first name is also Mariko, without Mariko Obaasan's Buddhist persona (Tenon-in) taking on a separate identity of its own Laughing

If you think about it, I wonder what the Odds are, that:

Two different Englishmen* [Dave King and Chris Marsh]
just happen to independently come into contact with two different Buddhist nuns [Tenon-in and Suzuki-san],
who both share the same first name; Mariko,
and both Marikos happen to have been students of Mikao Usui,
and both Marikos end up teaching their respective Englishmen somewhat different systems under different names [Usui-do and Usui-Teate],
yet supposedly both being Usui-sensei's teachings,
and later, around the same time that one of these Englishmen [Chris Marsh]
stops teaching his Mariko's system [Usui-Teate],
the other Englishman states that he has been authorised to teach Usui Teate by his Mariko,
however, some what confusingly, the Usui Teate he has been authorised to teach, is a different Usui Teate than the other Englishman had been taught by his Mariko

Yes, it is (or was) very confusing. Actually, the Tenon-in I was referring to was a different Tenon-in I met when I went to Japan in 2008!

Well I figured if two other Englishmen could meet buddhist nuns, with similar names, who were students of Usui, why couldn't I?

I think it changes from country to country, and it depends of cultural background of men and women and of various countries so..
I've already found this on my job.. women make different (and often better) select than men.. For example i am a lawyer (here to be a lawyer you have to study the same as to be a judge), and there are more male thane female that choose to be a lawyer, but there are more woman judges (over the 55%)!
Talking with my romanian partner he was very very dazzled for this. (maybe in USA is different so).

I've thought until now women wanna be attuned by women (<- for cororative spirit) and men by men..

It appears that men have generally
taken the leadership roles in most
    jobs, organizations. With the shift
in the 20th century where women have
gotten the right to vote the # of
women DR's CEO's etc; have increased
It seems that men have taken the
leadership role in Reiki. I don't know

I think power is not distributed vertically (hierachically) but horizzantally (all at the same level). It's our mind that says "this is better than that", "if i do this i'll be more important than my nextdoor neighbour" but in the realty we are all at the same level, me, you obama, paris hilton and an indian women or a japanese woman or anyone.
by this visual point i can say men and women have done different thing in the past time (and even now), but nobody is higher.
Before women do not have right to vote yes, but that doesn't mean they were subdued to men it just means they cannot vote.
Ok, women can't vote in the past, but in the same past they can do lot o think men cannot do.

So now, maybe there are more male reiki practioner who write books, teach and are famous than women, but maybe they are better healer. It's a sort of cosmic role play..
    =)
..all at the same level do different think.

[some psycologist may say is that men want to be leader more than women, or that we "sublimate" our lack of cannot give birth beeing more creative (giving birth to idea) but i don't like this theory, i really thing we are all ugual, with the same dignity, we only like different think..]
